Police say they have a "person of interest" in Alana "Laney" Gwinner case

The Butler County Sheriff's Department has unveiled a new $10,000 reward billboard in Hamilton, for the arrest(s) of whoever's responsible in the 1997 killing of 23 year-old Alana Gwinner. Gwinner disappeared from Gilmore Bowling Lanes in December of '97 and was discovered floating down the Ohio River exactly a month later. "Cold case" detectives have been working on the case for over a year now and have identified a "person of interest." They say they hope the billboard at Erie and Maple will pressure the person(s) involved to come forward and the community to get involved. If you have any information, call Crimestoppers at 352-3040.
